WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!

John and I have no idea how many people are coming to the Woodzie. It could be a dozen. It could be a gazillion. Having to re-schedule has really thrown off our Woodzie senses. Please, even if you already told us, even if you think we should know, even if we’ve never met - let us know if you are coming! If you’re bringing friends, your band, your kids, your grandma, or the whole VFW - tell us how many!! Send an email to johnwhipple@gmail.com This is important. We're buying chicken and beer.

The weather’s gonna be stupendous! See you Saturday!!!!

Willy and Jonah probably count for double the chicken-eaters - but Grace is a minus. So I'd say for the Obretillos you can still count 4. We're not sure yet about Grace's friends but we hope there will be 2.

Tyler and my friend Dianne are pretty definite also.

Well.... I'm proud to say that we ate all 70 pounds of the chicken plus an unknown tonnage of various meats that everyone else brought. We had everything from carefully marinated t-bone steaks to turkey legs to venison chili. And what had to be 80 hot dogs and about 50 various links of sausage.

No wonder all the small game go into hiding at Woodzie time each year, they're afraid of being eaten.

There were lots of interesting side dishes. Whoever brought those three huge tins of fresh garlic, onion, hot pepper, dill cucumber slices is a saint. There was a little of that left over and I'm eating some right now. I had thought that Jimmie's 30 gallons of beans and mountain of baked potatoes would be too much but she was right, although there were some beans left over it wasn't much.

I thought that the food was excellent again this year. You would think that feeding that many people would be hard but this method really gets it done. I enjoy watching it work.
